Sunday's Pancakes

I love making pancakes on Sunday and this is one recipe I truly love!

👉 1 large banana
👉 2 eggs
👉 1-2 tbsp organic coconut flour to desired consistency

Directions:
Mash up banana. Whisk in the eggs & coconut flour. It will still be a bit lumpy but they'll still turn out great!

These pancakes have a sweet banana taste to them which honestly no syrup is needed however I did drizzle mine with organic maple syrup since I like mine extra sweet. Added a peach for my side and wallah....very filing and oh so delish. 👌

Next weekend I think I'll try mashing up some strawberries 🍓🍓🍓 and see if I can mix that in, that would be AMAZING!!!

Don't Trust the Scale

I've always been heavy upper body and finally I'm seeing everything shrinking because muscle is coming through.  Quitting with the cardio and actually incorporating weight training into your workouts will do more for your body than you can imagine.

I've learned to hate the number on the scale...it's a love/hate relationship lol. Muscle does NOT weigh more than fat because 1 lb of muscle equals 1 lb of fat....it's just that muscle takes up less space than fat which means that the scale could remain the same but the clothes are getting loser and you're losing inches. I've had to remind my challengers about this <--- don't trust the scale.

Instead of focusing on that scale...I focus on loving my body through this process while my body is evolving towards a better healthier "me"....it takes time but I'd never go back to my old unhealthy self.

My shirt is getting baggy, my legs have gotten more toned and my booty is getting bigger...got to love those squats!

Ever find yourself coming up with excuses for not staying on track with clean eating...

The other day my husband asked if I could make one of his favorite dishes which is "Cheese, Potato & Smoke Sausage Casserole" and it happens to be one of my favorite dishes that I haven't made since I switched to the clean eating lifestyle because obviously this gooey cheesiness is really bad for you lol.
I knew I did NOT want to get tempted to even try it so I planned a few days ahead and made sure that I had the ingredients to make one of my favorite clean dishes called "Sweet Potato Casserole" and it's PURE COMFORT food!!...this dish is so good that I didn't even care to try one of my old favorites!
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED haha....I didn't even use the taste tester excuse to try the cheesy dish.
It does take time and more work to make 2 dishes but I look forward to the end result knowing that I stayed on track. I also served myself on a small plate while his was on a big dinner plate...use those little tricks to help you!
I can't say this enough because I've come across so many that have used excuse after excuse....I can't eat clean because I have kids who love junk food or I'm the only one who wants to eat clean. Quit wasting energy coming up with excuses for yourself not to stay on track and instead find ways to eat clean! If you want to eat clean than just DO IT!!
Ummm....hello  *waving here lol* ---> I am hosting a 7 day Clean Eating Challenge on Facebook starting next Monday, March 2nd where I will be providing a 7 day meal plan along with a grocery list. There are no obligations...all I ask is that you just engage with the group and have fun by taking pics of your food for accountability. And you don't have to do this alone...invite someone to do this with you
Want to join the group?
Than comment below and/or message me!
As Brian Tracy said... "No more excuses! Do it or don't do it -- but don't make excuses. Stop using your incredible brain to think up elaborate rationalizations and justifications for not taking action. Do something. Do anything. Get on with it! Repeat to yourself: :If it's to be, it's up to me!"

The Power of Self Discipline

I am LOVING this new book that I started yesterday called "No Excuses - the Power of Self Discipline" by Brian Tracy.

It's crazy thinking how many times you come up with excuses not to go to work, not to workout, not to get stuff done, not to stick to your clean eating in order to have that short term satisfaction. This can apply to every aspect and not just in weight loss....just think of how many times you said "no, not now" because you were tired or didn't feel like it. Now would those excuses help you with your long term goals? I think not...

This quote is so true on so many levels...do you ever see a successful person coming up with excuses? They may have in the beginning before they became successful but eventually they learned the habits along the way that brought SUCCESS. One habit in particular is NO EXCUSES!!

Here's what I read this morning.....

"The first rule of success is simple: No more excuses! Do it or don't do it -- but don't make excuses. Stop using your incredible brain to think up elaborate rationalizations and justifications for not taking action. Do something. Do anything. Get on with it! Repeat to yourself: If it's to be, it's up to me! Losers make excuses; winners make progress"

BAM, isn't that awesome!! I will be reading this book everyday, I've only completed the introduction and already I highly recommend it! I have to train my mindset during my weight loss and in growing a successful business that no matter what...I WILL not be coming up with excuses for myself. No more excuses, not now and not ever!

So, that being said....get on with your day and make it happen!!

Coaching is so much more...

Today I cleaned the house, had 7 phone calls, chatted with one of my coaches, spent time with the hubs and now I'm babysitting my niece......these were all scheduled INCLUDING the "no phone" time between 3 and 5pm. There were extra phone calls I didn't plan for but I enjoyed which is okay because I had a real productive day and got everything done I needed to do. Sounds strange but without a schedule and boundaries my business and over commitment could run us into the ground.
One of my favorite calls today was with one of my coaches and we went over her goals and way to reach them but more importantly.....we talked about boundaries. Setting times to work and times to NOT WORK. It's hard to stop when you love what you do and believe in it but, what's more important than family? It's a no-brainer. We work so that we can have more options and freedom for our family. I advised her to schedule both her family time and her time to work her business because she needs to ensure she doesn't neglect either one because both are so important. Today she said she was going to try and implement this tomorrow. I know she's looking forward to being able to balance both so she can have more freedom to do what she wants and enjoy her family time.
This is one of the reasons WHY I LOVE what I do....not only to help others achieve their health goals but also to help my coaches make their business into a source of income so they can stay home more with their families and enjoy the freedom. Coaching is so much more than being a great coach.......it's about being the best MOM/DAD/WIFE/HUSBAND you can be and finding your purpose though this business. heart emoticon
